Signing in: password reset and two-factor

Reset a forgotten password, and turn on two-factor authentication.

Forgotten password

Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. The reset link is emailed to you and expires after a short period — request a fresh one if it has gone stale rather than reusing an old email.

If the email does not arrive, check spam, and confirm you are using the address you were invited on rather than a personal one.

Changing a known password

Settings → Profile → Change password. You need the current password.

Two-factor authentication

Where the product offers it, turn it on under Settings → Security. Scan the QR code with any authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy. After that, signing in asks for a six-digit code as well as the password.

Save the recovery codes somewhere other than the phone running the authenticator. Losing both the phone and the codes means an administrator has to reset the account.

Signing in with Google

Where offered, Google sign-in works only for an email that already has a Kinxso account. It links the identity; it does not create an account on its own.

Who can reset another user's access

An organisation admin can deactivate and reinvite a user. Admins cannot read anyone's password — nobody can, including us.
